Product information "30 Years Fall of the Berlin Wall Anniversary Beer Stein"

This German-made stein honors the 30th Anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall (1989-2019) with an authentic piece of the Berlin wall on top. "1989 - Jahre 30 Years - 2019".  The front shows a large crack in the wall with the Brandenburg Gate in the background.  The wall reads "Die Mauer erected 13. Aug. 1961 ~ The Wall was fallen 9. Nov. 1989"

 Historical Background 

On Aug 13, 1961, the Communist Eastern German Government started Construction of a Wall circling West Berlin.  The total Wall length was 112Km (70 miles).  The Wall stood 3.6 meters (11.8 ft) tall and divided families, friends and neighborhoods.

On November 09, 1989, through a Peaceful Revolution, the people of East Berlin regained freedom by tearing down this Wall.

This stein celebrates 30 Years of Fall of the Berlin Wall and the reunification of Berlin.
